Sorry to dig up an old thread, but it fits my situation perfectly.

I'm trying to reset the totals, but I keep getting the message 'not assigned'.

Does anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Will it only reset with a Supervisor key? I'm just trying to reset the daily totals, using the sequence above in Mark's (NZtech) post

you cannot reset the NRGT without a service key - you can however completely factory reset it by removing the batteries from under the till rolls.
Compared to modern machines, the 420 is a pussy cat.
