Have a SPS-530 and samstock pc software.

When sending changed items it works some of the time but often fails.

Send all products always fails and all Z collect options also fail

I keep getting error 8 ECR timeout.

Connected via lan max cable lengths between toll and switch and switch and pc 1m. Have also tried connected directly to pc and still get the same

IF YOU GO DIRECT FROM TILL TO PC, YOU NEED A CROSSOVER PATCH LEAD.

1. HOW LONG HAVE YOU HAD THE SYSTEM?
2. HAS IT EVER WORKED?
3. IN THE VERY BEGINNING, DID YOU PULL THE MEMORY FROM THE TILL INTO SAMSTOCK?
4. HAVE YOU TRIED CONNECTING VIA RS232 INSTEAD? 2........ 3

Yes has worked in the past. But over time has begun failing more and more. Have had a reports pulled from the till into samstock in the past but they haven’t done them for several months now.

Have tried the crossover cable and made no difference. Can ping the toll from pc and ping the pc from the till but samstock just won’t talk to it most the time.

Have ordered a serial cable to try.

thats an unusual set of circumstances - i have had issues with the network side of things in both the 520 and the 2200 - the 520 issue was cured by a ram clear and restore from usb - the 2200 needed cat 6 with a gigabit router [heavily overkill IMHO

ive never had rs232 fail on the 520 - [tbh never tried it on 2200 as i now refuse to sell them when you can get ICR terminals for similar money]

Just to check is it a normal serial cable or do I need a special one (noticed you posted a pinout)
