Nope. The beeping is controlled by the MSR itself, not by software, and the USB MSRs you can buy don't tend to have any configuration (I've bought loads over the years).

@S1mon Our attached MSR reader is faulty and have had to attach a external usb unit. With the attached reader the register would beep when a card was read and double beep if it failed, although the external works fine it makes no sound when a card is used. Is there any way to rectify this?

what model is your system with the built in msr? i may have one as i carry lots and lots of different units.
one other thing to try is giving it a good clean with an isopropanol impregnated cleaning card as if the head gets too dirty that will stop it working.
