Trying to re-program a er 5100 function key descriptor after a RAM clearance. According to the manual the process is simple - key pos P - 80 - sbtl - enter description using alpha overlay - press the function key - then cash. However, as soon as I enter the alpha description I get a E1 beep. Obviously I have a key sequence problem. I get the same with program 81. Can you help?

I think my reply got lost in the change over.  I am trying to name functions keys with the name of the product i.e. function key 61 to Prosecco.  When I follow the manual described in my first post I get the E1 error.
