White screen display AND then keyboard fails

Have SPS-530 register where the display screen goes white, then the main keyboard stops responding.
Have to turn the machine off for a minimum of 5 minutes but the issue is only fixed for a few hours and then returns.

Is this a display screen issue?
Keyboard issue?
Board issue?
