Hi

I'm looking at rom based 15" touchscreens to supply to some of our customers.
We do supply windows-based models but are looking for something that would be more suitable for a standard bar setup.

Has anyone experience with using Quorion Q-Touch 15" or Sam SPS-2000. The Sam is 12" but a 15" version is now on the market.

Use of customer loyalty would be a bonus. Any recommendations on other rom solutions would be appreciated.

John

There is the Sharp UP3515. That's 15".
Customers do seem to like rom based machines. I wonder if it has anything to do with once something is deleted it can never be found again...........

Yes I have seen the up3515.
We find that some of the smaller bars which are still using older ecr's would be more comfortable with switching to this type of terminal.
I believe that the Uniwell (ax3000, dx915) are another reliable machine.?

I was just about to jump in with those. The DX-915 is simply a DX-895 with a bigger screen. Nice to use, but programming without the back-office software is complicated. The AX-3000 is lovely, I really like them and they are easier to program than the DX if you're doing it direct on the ECR.

I think a lot of the reason customers like the ROM-based machines is because they are so quick to boot up and there are no worries with Windows going wrong, virii etc. They also tend to be a lot more resilient in hospitality environments, although throwing a pint on top of it will still kill them !Head
