I have an IBM 4840-X52, I have closed my retail side and want to sell the machine on. It was originally bought from CTN years ago, that contract ended and I took on one with Reposs for support. I now want to sell the till but I cannot change the shop name as it tells me I need the licence number. The only one I have is from the old CTN contract.

How do I go about wiping or changing this so I can sell it.

I doubt that you can :cry:
The licence coding does some funky algorithms with the company name to generate your unique licence number. !dunce
the software is licenced to the company - not the individual - specifically to stop you selling it on.
Nothing to stop you selling the hardware though? !Yes
