PROBLEM WITH CE-4200 CASH REGISTER

Hi Dawn, Welcome back
As far as i'm aware P1 is not actually an error message, it just sounds to me like it is stuck in a programming mode.
The first thing to try would be to:
Turn the key to Program
Press SUBTOTAL.
If the message still appears when you turn back to R then try again but press SUBTOTAL twice.
If not it would be worth turning back to Program and pressing CASH.
If you still cannot clear the P1 message I would remove both till rolls and check for any paper jams or other blockages in the printer, then replace both rolls and try the Initial Reset procedure i gave you before. (it might take a few attempts before it kicks back in) it was as follows:
Turn the key to Off
Hold down the Receipt Feed key
Quickly turn the key to Program (Whilst still holding Receipt Feed down)
A row of FFFFFFFFF's should appear on the display
Press Subtotal - A small confirmation ticket should print out
