Problems programming Uniwell UX45-03
Hi there,
I have a problem when i try to program my UX45 with PLM2000, i can't connect with RS232 Cable.
I've made the cable exactly as stated in the help file of PLM2000, but get a ECR Time OUt when i trie to "ECR Date & Time Set"
Comm port settings on both PC (and PLM2000) and ECR are set recording to Helpfile PLM2000
I've put the ECR in the Z1/P mode.
Connect the cable to PC
Started PLM 2000
start "ECR Date & Time Set"
I probably have a setting int the ECR that says that there is a kitchenprinter or scanner attached.
I just can't figure out how to set up the ECR correctly to work with PLM2000.
Can anyone help me (or give a suggestion), even SP-codes are welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Pascal
Hi,
I'm not sure which settings you need to get communications up and running. Have you got a copy of the help file you could email me at @eposwizard.co.uk">support@eposwizard.co.uk ? Or if you just list all the settings, baudrate etc and i'll tell you which options you will need to set on the till itself.
cheers

Thanks for your reply.
It's just the helpfile of PLM2000.
the till needs to be set up with baud rate 38400, 8bits, even parity, no stop bit.
in the help file it's :
key in SP
100 X
91.
01000000
I found that and entered it, but i want to know which flags to set for communicating with PC
I believe that the com-port on the Till is set-up for use with barcode scanner. and i want it to be set up for PC Communication.
Hi,
To disable the scanner on channel B you would need to change flag 90. So if you do:
key in SP
100 X
90.
00000000
If this doesn't work there are a couple of other possibilites:
PLM2000 uses BCC checking so you will need to set Flag 92 as follows:
100 X
92.
00100000
And possibly the Terminal Address:
Key in SP
172 X
1.
Press the A key on the alphanumeric keybad
Press CASH
Press Cl Twice
Hope this helps
