I've just purchased a pair of Uniwell NX-5400F ECR's. I have the EE-99 message on both. Both machines have been on and charging for a while. The manual says to do a physical RAM test and auto preset.
Does anyone know how I do this?

Turn power off to the ECR
Turn the control key to the SP position
Hold down the left-hand three buttons on the third row up from the bottom right
Turn the power back on
ECR should display "---- ir ----"
