Sorry for my ignorance on programming but I am am trying to program a ER-A470 for out local Legion and I don't have a lot of knowledge.
I basically have everything set as I want by reading the manuals except I have about 5 keys I wan't to add so I can enter amounts directly.
eg for a hall rental we would like to input a amount and hit the rental key and have it post to a department.
I can't seem to figure out how to program a key to take an amount, only a set price.
If anyone could help I would appreciate it greatly.

I haven't doen one in ages but as I recall, you set the direct key in that position to a department (or maybe subdepartment) instead of a PLU. Look at the direct key programming anyway and you should see the option to have one or the other
