Sam4S ER-920 clerk buttons

Hi all,

I've recently acquired a new till, the sam4s er-920.
I have been using a Samsung 6540II before, and it had 10 buttons for clerks.
Now on the new till, I have to press "clerk" followed by the clerk number to sign on.
Is it possible to make dedicated clerk buttons? I've tried making macro's but i've encountered some difficulties with that.
I found a generic manual for the ER-900 series which states that it should be possible, but the manual that came with the ER-920 says that i can't.
In the 70 SUB programming table in the 920 manual there is just one entry for the clerk button, not multiple clerk buttons.
Any help or pointers in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

Thnx,
Will

The only difference between all the ER-9xx models are the keyboard (flat / raised) and printer (single / double) configurations everything else is the same.

- Ensure you have a "C" key in the mode lock
- Turn to Service Mode - this is one turn passed PGM and is not marked
- Enter 70 SUBTOTAL
- Enter either: -

    217 - Clerk 1
    218 - Clerk 2
    219 - Clerk 3
    ....
    226 - Clerk 10

    - Press the key where you need it to be
    - Press CASH

Thank you for your reply, but I've already tried exactly that. But it seems that the first 300 are PLU's, so 217-225 are just PLU's. And not clerks.
I'll try to post the code-table of my manual when I get home.

*edit -> Here is the table of my manual regarding the 70 SUB programming of function keys

(Sorry for this, I don't have permission to post links to an image, and i can't seem to use the

bb-code. I anyone would like, i could PM a link to the image)

Could it be that it's firmware related? That maybe the Netherlands uses a different firmware that other countries? If so, would I be able to use standard firmware?
I wouldn't mind if the till is used in English if that means I can have the same functionality as on my Samsung 6540-II.
Also, I have programmed clerk names, but they only show up on the receipt and not in the screen as I sign on. Is this also possible?

And do you know if it's possible to use standard firmware? I can't seem to find information about that anywhere.
Or should I try my luck with sam4s technical support?
