Hello.

Have inherited a ER-420M which I have had to wipe the memory completely to just get it to stop shrieking at me! Now I have to seriously think about what to do next coz it seems to me that the only way you can get the thing to do what you want it to do is to program lots of PLU codes.

What I was wondering though is can you use the register by just entering amounts, pressing a button and then it gives you a total - like a straight forward calculator?

Only now I'm not sure that I want a register that only works by programmed codes - my business is so flexible that there aren't really any set prices and I would have to look up every code every time I sold something!!!

Any assistance / advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Yes you can use the register without programming all the products.

You should be able to enter a price ( dont press a decimal point) and select one of the buttons to the right of the numeric keyboard. That should register a sale. Now enter another item or press the CASH key.

Hello.

Thanks for that, it worked once, but then when I tried to do it again it came up with Warning Sequence Error.

Any ideas?

Cheers
