How do you program a 50% discount button to ER-420M please? Just keep getting error codes for everything Ive tried from the manual

1. put a % button on the keyboard {there's one on there by default if not altered]
2. set the status on the discount button to be negative and either preset or open value
3. set the value if preset
4 change the text on the button to say discount.

thanks - ive tried the % button it just keeps coming up with errors any idea how I clear it? to start again?

sure - set the status and the preset value to zero
but then " starting again" only involves editing these parameters anyway.
