Good afternoon all,

I am after you’re advice please,

At present we are using the SAM4s ER250, but it has run out of life and we are getting a new one till.

We are a small social sports bar that is open once maybe twice a week; numbers vary from 50 to 150 people. We need a till that can have the prices and drinks programmed we sell around 70 different products.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks

Paul

as a samsung engineer - i have to say sam4 ser7000
but tbh that is overkill for your business.
the new range of tills that have taken over the 5200 are - in my personal opinion PANTS!
have a look at the sharp xea 213 which shouls suit your requirements
if you wish to just replace your machine with one of similar capability - take a look at the sam 380

Hi Andy thanks for your help,

Quick question for you the reason why we are changing the Till is the Clarks buttons continually hold the last order and don’t clear after you have pressed total. For example

Press Clark one enter x,y,z of drinks total of £10
Press clark two mid way though transaction enter a,b,c of drinks total £15
Go back to clark one press total till opens till registers £10 paid in.
Same for clark 2,
Go back to clark 1 or 2 and 8/10 times the last total will still be stored in the memory.

This is causing massive problems with my x reading totals and total amount of money in the till.

any help is greatly appreciated

thanks

the clerks need to be set as sale pop up - that should sort your problem
now i know the till is in a wet environment, the 52oo replacement should be the way to go [but like i said, its pants]
i would strongly suggest the 7000 - forget the 380, the 390 has 60 presets and a flat keyboard and would do a job.
