Could somebody describe the process of changing the name of a department on the SX 580? I have a manual but that particular page is blank and I cannot get any joy or answer from the manual supplier.
We also have the wrong name at the top of the till roll.

If your register is under two years old the chances are that you can set a quick name-change button on the keyboard. I assume that you have a flat keyboard type.
To check the flash version, turn key to P and turn off power at side. Turn power back on while holding down the cash button. The flash version should display. Let me know what it is.
David software is by far the easiest way to program these registers but you should be able to do it manually.
