lB

I have managed to change the message that goes across the screen, PLU names and PLU prices !excited

For some chuffin reason I just cannot fathom, changing the clerk names just will not work.

To attemp to set I have

Key to P1
start key until "cashier" appears
select key
"name" appears next
input key
I type in "A"
display changes to the next cashier
Press start again
display is "clerk ID"
select key until "name" appears
I type in "B"
display changes to the next clerk

Key back to "R" and I press the "clerk 1" key

Display briefly shows "B" then the old name !!

Do not know what happened to "A" under "cashier" above and why does it come back with the old name a second after my new name of "B" appears from the clerk name programing ?

Tried a P2 power off for 10 seconds and back on again with the key still in P2. No effect.

I have made both clerk name and cashier name both "A" and that does not work either. I am using "A" and "B" just to illustrate what is happening.

Beer money to whoever can fix this and thus restore my sanity !

Thanks in advance,
Ian

Hi.
Yep, I'm still around.
You aren't designating a Cashier. Press 1 then DSGN to jump to Cashier 1 then edit it.

I see what you are doing. You must press 'input' after you enter the name for a cashier eg 'A' and this will bring you directly to the next name eg 'b' and press input again

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the posts. Bad news is neither sorted the problem.

Recap, I have "A" set via "Cashier" then "name"
"B" set via "Clerk ID" and "name"

I hit the "Clerk 1" button, for 1 second I can see "B" then it goes and stays on old staff name.

So "A" in cashier name was not being seen at all.

Depressed, I then decided to go back through the "Start" menu, past "cashier", past "Clerk ID" and when the display showed "Guest" hit "select" until "name" appeared again, pressed "input" and .... up came the old staff name !! Easy from then on.

So for some reason cashier name is not being used, clerk name flashes on for 1 second, the it settles on....guest name !

Again thanks for taking the time to respond. Just about to start using the till now so maybe more questions later !
