I think that model number is wrong??????
Most Casios are the same.

Turn key to program mode.
type date as YYMMDD.
Press X/DATE TIME button (sometimes called X/TIME) it's the multiplication button.
Press CLEAR.

I saw this last night and was confused. I know of the TE-100 and the TE-2000, but I couldn't remember seeing a TE-1000 before.

I suspect this is actually a TE-100, in which case (from the manual);-

To set the date;-
Turn the key to PGM mode
Press '1'
Press 'Sub Total'
Enter YYMMDD
Press 'X/Date Time'
Press 'C/AC'

To set the time;-

Turn the key to PGM mode
Press '1'
Press 'Sub Total'
Enter HHMM
Press 'X/Date Time'
Press 'C/AC'

Hope this is the right model for you Andy, although it's exactly the same for a TE-2000.

many thanks to both the above posts
i guessed at the first and followed the 2000 manual for the second neither seemed to work.
Although it was instructing a customer down the phone!!
i can only be guided by what the model number that the guy told me - though i had my suspicions [dont spend too much time on casios to be fair.

Anyhoo many thanks guys - perhaps i need to visit to confirm model number and that the guy is following instructions correctly.
bit OTT for date n time though lol.

This site is fantastic - bring back the NCR100 class!!!!! or the high tech Aster51E and its lorry battery backup!
