Casio SE-S400 unusual error

Hi all,

A colleague has been programming his Casio SE-S400 and has come across an unusual problem. When in normal use (i.e. REG), he adds an amount, then tries to use the CA/Amt Tend button, but he just gets a long beep. There is no error message. He can finish a transaction using the CH or CHK buttons, but not using the CA button.

We suspect a bad setting somewhere, but I've read the manual forwards and backwards in two languages, and cannot find the solution.

If anybody can point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful! lB

I stumbled upon the answer, and will post it here for any others who get this error.

It looks like, in his enthusiasm, my colleague had re-programmed the CA key without realising it, so it expected figures rounded off in a certain way. I reset this and the problem was resolved.

Hi, I am having the same issue after trying to program an OBR button. How did you reset the ca button?
