when you do a sale or no sale there is no click will this be the drawer or the till ?

It could be either, but more likely the cash drawer.
If you change the ECR to use DW2 instead and plug the drawer into DW2, does it work?

Yes, but I can't remember the flag setting numbers off the top of my head I'm afraid.

Also check that the cable hasn't chaffed on anything because if it has it could get grounded and then damage the firing circuit inside the till
