I've got 2 CBM 1000 that I want to link to my 2 SX 700 tills

At the moment i've linked the 2 tills via a patch lead.

I have 1 CBM printer attached to till 1 (bar till) in port c rs232
this prints receipts and reports and irc reports from till 2 (restaurant till)

I want to get till 2 to print it's own reciepts for sales and also act as the kitchen printer for both till 1 and till 2.

The problem is i'm unsure what settings to have till 1 on so it uses till 2 as a kitchen printer and the settings for till 2 so it uses the printer for receipts and kitchen tickets.

Hi,

The first thing you will need to check is the ID numbers of both printers as they will both need to be different, check this as follows:

Switch the printer off
Hold down the paper feed button whilst turning back on

If this doesn't seem to work then try again but hold the button for longer.

We will also need to know what you currently have set under System Function Flag 60 on both of your tills. Once we have this we should be able to help you on your way.

Cheers

Hi
I've just printed the printout with the dip switches for both printers.

It looks like both the printers are using the same settings. Which dip switch controls the printer id?

As for system flag 60

The bar till till 1 Kitchen Till till 2

H-No H -NO
G-Yes G-No
F-No F-No
E-Yes E-No
D-No D-NO
C-No C-No
B-No B-No
A-No A-NO

Hope this helps

Hi,

Those setting are what I was expecting so it must be setup a little differently. What do you have for system flag 86?

Also, are the CBM1000's uniwell printers or Epson / Citizen printers?

Cheers
