Hi desperate newbie... here, i need the sp code to set my nx5400 to communicate with the pc. Also if anyone is feeling really helpful perhaps they could tell me where to get a programming manual

Thats not a straight forward question to answer. What software are you using? do you have the correct cable?
yip got the cable, started programing with plm200. everything was going peachy until i accidently programmed over the "clear" button. now i've reset to factory defaults. but can't do anything through plm2000. if i send "date and time" i get "ECR time out error" so if i could just get the code to set the till to communicate the the pc i can get started again.

From a Ram Clear there should only be 2 settings to change:
Turn the key to SP
Key in 100
Press X2
Key in 91
Press Decimal Point
Key in 0100 0000
Press X2
Press Cl twice to finish.
Then the second one:
Turn the key to SP
Key in 100
Press X2
Key in 92
Press Decimal Point
Key in 0010 0000
Press X2
Press Cl twice to finish.
Hopefully that will do the trick, please let me know either way.
