What position are you trying to sign in on? This sounds, to state the obvious, like your clerk numbers are incorrect or you have it set to iButton only sign-on. Failing that, is it set to only allow sign-on in Reg mode when the cash drawer is closed?

Little Alice was heartbroken when her pet canary (1) died, and to soften the blow, her father gave her a cigar box for a coffin and assisted in burying the canary in the back yard.“Daddy.” Whispered Little Alice after the funeral, “Will my dear little birdie (2) go to Heaven?”“I expect so,” replied her father.”Why?”“I was only thinking,” murmured (3) Little Alice,”how cross (4) St. Peter will be when he opens the box and discovers there are no cigars in it.”

Neal,

I'm not even sure what you're trying to ask for help with. If the system is set up for iButtons, then disable them via the System Flags. If the Clerk numbers are wrong then change them under SP-123.
