Tx870 table list

We are in the process of moving from a rented sx7000 to a purchased tx870 to save on money. One of the current functions we can't find on the tx870 is the displaying of a list of currently open tables?

On the sx7000 its a case of clicking "table list" but on the tx can it be as simple or do we need to run an X report everytime we want to see what tabs are currently open? In a pub environment drinkers sometimes run tabs for the night and between shifting staff some table numbers can get lost or aren't written down so being able to view all open tables is a very useful if not vital function.

Can anyone advise please?!

Thanks!

Instead of just using the "Table" function as it is, set up a "Table Plan Server" and create a graphical representation of your tables and tabs. That way you can see very easily (by pressing the "Table Plan" button) what tables/tabs are open.

Thanks Simon,

I have got a computer able to talk to the till and have uniwell lynx free and also a trial of v5, are these programs ok to program the till and set up this table plan system? It is an 06 till but the only options on the lynx software are for 03 or D3. If they are not suitable do you know what software is capable of programming the till?

Thanks,
Will

I'm not sure how much programming you can successfully do using Lynx as it's not designed to work on - 06 machines. The table plan can be set up fairly easily on the till itself if you are happy to do that, otherwise I'd recommend EPoS Office or EPoS Sales from USD as the programming and reporting package.
