I am having a problem with the internal thermal printer on Uniwell UX7000 . It is printing but only on the left side of the paper, the right hand side is intermittent but generally blank. Is this something repairable or does it need a new printer module? Thanks

Without meaning to appear patronising:

1. Have you tried using paper roll from a different batch? batch # is printed on the box
2. Have you run a test print? Switch printer off, Hold down 'Feed' button then switch power back on. This should print a fairly long report.

If neither of these work I suggest buying a recon printer...about the same price as a new print head

Mark,

Thanks for the reply, have tried different rolls but the problem is definitely with the printer.
Not sure if I can do the 2nd option as the printer is integral to the till, so has no independent external buttons, is there another way to run this test?

Make sure all connections between printer and till are secure.
Most likely a faulty thermal head tho, in which case you'll need the printer repaired or swapped out. If you had a ux7000 for spares and repaires this is easy enough to do yourself.

should change the thermal printer mechanism if the problem still exists
