How do you type descriptions ie cheeseburger ? On the sx 700

Have you deleted all the current plu ?
if you have,
key to SP
enter clerk code then press clerk(CL)
coose register not irc
screen says sorting
select plus using up/down keys
type 1 then enter,
this will create a new plu 1
edit using enter and the keyboard overlay

Use what keyboard overlay ?
The program overlay ,the one with qwerty keyboard etc printed on.
may be under the current overlay .
