We brought this till on Ebay. We just want a really basic till and the guy we brought it from said it can do a lot or a little so we went for it.

Despite being just ok with these things we managed to change the date & time and change our names on the Clerk id. So far, so good!

All was well until we tried to change the name, address etc on the receipt. We followed some instructions on here and it looks like we've done a factory re-set!

A few errors have been coming up & we can't use the till at all. The first error message is 14 about the till drawer sensor. Instructions on here said to take this option off of the menu but we don't know how to get to a menu (we havn't got any hardware to plug it into we just have the till).

The other is error 03 - Clerk id. It seems that we've wiped off the Clerks. We re-named one but it's not there at all.

Any help answering these problems would be amazing. We are not that bothered about changing the receipt as this isn't vital. It's just getting the till to work basically that would be great.

You could save us from divorcing as we are getting annoyed with each other now that we can't sort it.

Thank you

if you are "just ok" with the programming, theres no way on this earth we are going to talk you through setting up a uniwell from scratch
full reset
init all data load defaults clear plu file then you
get to start the set up to your requirements
-either cut your losses and go for a simple register - or stick with it and take it to your local uniwell dealer

Sounds like that's the best route for you to be honest. I'm quite versed in all Sharps, newer Uniwells, Casio, POS etc but the old Uniwells make me tear my hair out and I leave them to a tech who deals only with those.

I wish you luck sir. They're great machines but they require quite a bit of involvement to be set up the right way.

Thanks guys.

Poor Rich is in the doghouse as we had it set up just fine for the basic stuff we needed and he went against my advice and did the following...

We had it set up fine from the previous owner (we were just going to ignore their stuff and use it really simply) when he got overambitious and tried to put our name on the receipt. As discussed he followed some info on here and did a re-set. Doh!

If anyone knows how to get a Clerk on that would be great & how to get the drawer sensor warning message off that too would help a lot.

If not we will be cutting our losses!

Lianna & Rich
