Hi,
i have followed the instructions on the forum, several memmbers have said turn power off , key to sp, hold down top left button plus 2 underneath it, turn power on, 3 deeps, turn key to r, release 3 buttons,
all i got was 4 beeps,
ram test 2000000
screen ir done
reset,
none of the keys work on the qwyery board.
please what have i done wrong, any help would be appreciated,
what you have done is a forced ram clear this will have erased all the settings in the till and it will need re-setting up

to do as you have advised,
1/ i can gain access to the till with code, but dont now how to connect tills or how to download from one to other, or even no what cable i need,

Assuming that the tills are the same software version.
Right heres all you should need. If you have any problems or are unclear with any of it (I'm not a great writer) then it would be best to ask before going ahead.
You need to to the M key to the SP position.
Enter the Engineers code and press clerk ID.
First off you need to scroll to the bottom of the PROG FUNC list and select SP-9999 Initialise All Data.
This will set up a bare bones type demo program and allow you to set up conditions for sending the program down from the other till.
This may log you off (can't remember - if it does log back on as Engineer).
You then need to go to SP-112 Maximums. This is where you allocate memory to different parts of the program. You need to make these settings the same as they are in the till you are going to be downloading from, otherwise after till may not have enough memory int he right areas to receive all the data.
Once that is done. Go to SP-200 Identifiers.
In here Machine No. and IRC ID need to be set. Set one till up as #1 and another as #2
The rest of the flags should be the same for both tills. If you change identifiers in the till you need to do an inital reset before they properly take effetc.
Turn off the machine via the rocker switch on the right hand sider of the till
Turn the M key to SP
From left of the keyboard hold the 3 buttons on the 3rd horizontal line up from the bottom whilst you turn the machine back on. So that's the three horizontal buttons reading from left to right on the third line up. It should beep indication and initial reset.
Once this is done lof back on as engineer and got to SP 113 System Funcs Flags
Then select SF-45 IRC
In here set IRC System to YES, and IRC and KP 38k Baud to YES -This has to be done on both tills. This also has to be done on both tills.
Ideally you should be using a Uninet serial spec cable for linking the two till but a simple straight ythrough patch lead may be enough to send the prog down. Plug the lead into the chA port on both tills.
Make sure you are logged off the till that you wish to receive the info.
Log on as Eng on the till you wish to prog from. As you log on choose IRC PROG FUNC and enter 8800 INIT IRC. It should then start counting through to 32. It will pause on the ID numbers of tills it cannot find, but will quickly skip through numbers it can find. So for example your two tills are programmed as 1 and 2 it should appear to start on 3. *If at any point you wish to cancel this count because they havn't found each other then you will have to perform an initial reset*
If the two tills can't find each other then you will need to go back and check the settings. I can help you with that.
If they do find each other then you will then need to select IRC PROG FUNC from the till you wish to send data from 8899-PROGRAM ALL DATA. Then it shoudl list the other till for you to select to program. Select it and the tow tills shoudl come up with -IRC- on the screen whilst the program is being sent down. Once that is done perform an initial reset on the newly programmed till.
Thhat is pretty much it. I dont think I've forgotton anthing. One thing you will need to do after removing the cable is go to SP113 and then SF45 and slect IRC SYSTEM to NO to set them back to a status of stand alone.
