im expecting this to be nice and simple, but here goes!

i am running two sx700s.

when i moved in, i was given a little users guide with pages missing.
how usefull i hear you cry!

uniwell have not been too helpfull either, and just offered to sell me a £45 manual damn them!

thanks to a LOT of help from these forums, most of a reel of cat5, and a little bit of seat-of-the-pants jiggerypokery, i have both tills networked together and reporting properly. i love you guys!

next crisis. ill be opening the kitchens next week, so need to program the menu.
how do i create a submenu in a plu?
i need a button for starters, leading to the relevant submenu, one for mains etc
if i had enough buttons, id just use one for every menu item, but no. that would be too easy!

im guessing it will be very simple, but ill be damned if i can see how!

you guys are all saints in my eyes, so i wont mind being called a moron if necessary!

thanks in advance.

Submenus for the SX are generally called Lookups, you must assign lookup keys to the keyboard to do this (Program function 110 lets you assign the lookup keys to the keyboard)

You then create your PLUs (Program 122) and assign them to the lookup using Program 140.

Seems strange that Uniwell would have quoted £45 for a manual, the operation manuals are all available on the Uniwell website and they will only give programming manuals to authorised resellers - perhaps it was the reseller who quoted this price?

thanks so much, well on the road to happiness now.

one more thing, how do i program the condiments menus?
it was programmed to offer condiments such as salad dressings automatically, and id like to do the same for other items.
i found the condiments lookup, and can rename and add plus to it, but how do i link it to a desired item?

and yes, it was a reseller who tried to sell me the manual. i just dialled the number on the side of the till that said
"uniwell support"
silly me for thinking id get uniwell!

anyway, if i can get this condiments thing sorted, i can take a breather before buggin you about back office setup.

thanks in advance!

first create you option plus in sp122
add then into condiment groups in sp125 (same as doing lookups)
then attach the condiment to the plu in sp122 by puting the number of the condiment group in one of the cond fields in the plu programming

hope that helps
