Welcome to EpoS Wizard!
set menu items
HI all
been a while, i am trying to set up a set menu item ie 4 shots for a fiver, i have created the plu which works fine and have set it up under set menu items so when the button is pressed it brings up a shooter menu, this all works fine but only lets you select 3 shots not the fourth, i can change the select menu item to select two that works and when changed back to three that works but will not allow me to select the fourth no matter what i do,
the epos system allows upto 5 set menu items to be selected but like i said i cant get over three even with all five selected.
am i missing a setting somewhere on the epos or till to allow for more than three, i have sent to tills and can get from 3 to 2 back to 3 but not four
From the manual;-
Introduction to the SET MENU feature.
- Each Set Menu has its own set price.
- As Many Set Menus can be used as required.
- When a PLU has PF 5-H=YES that PLU is a Set Menu.
- A Set Menu PLU does not have condiments, the condiment settings are used to link to LUPLUs (the courses).
- The Set Menu prompts the operator through the courses, cooking instructions etc. for the Set Menu courses.
- The set price is increased when PLUs are selected that have an EXTRA PRICE , extra price is part of SP122.
This feature uses the Set Menu's PLU's, COND links as links to LUPLUs . A number of LUPLUs (5) are used together, in order to make up a SET MENU. The Set Menu may have up to 5 courses, each
course with a selection of dishes.
The PLUs used in a Set Menu may be sold seperatley at their own price or as part of the Set Menu for the set price or at the Set Menu price plus the EXTRA PRICE if used on a course.
Any number of SET MENUs may be setup and assigned using dishes may be used in plural Set Menus.Steps to setup a SET MENU
1 Use PLUs that already existing or create new PLUs for each dish within the SET MENU include cooking instruction, condiments, prices, if sold seperatley, Extra Price - if an extra
cost is incurred as a SET MENU item
2 Create a LUPLU for each course (5), assign PLUs to the LUPLU lists.
3. Program a PLU as the SET MENU PLU ( i.e. PLU flag 5 h = YES ). Set this PLU COND links
to the required LUPLU lists. The first 3 LUPLU (COND) (courses) will be offered initially, that is when the customer is beginning the meal ( i.e. nibble, starter, meal). The last 2 courses
may be selected later ( i.e. sweet, beverage ) at pickup or by choice.
4. Allocate the SET MENU PLU button onto the screen. If the PLUs are to be sold as -a la carte too they can be placed on the screen.
5 EITHER - Add the SET MENU OPTION 1 and OPTION 2 keys to the keyboard. These allow selection of courses 4 and 5 respectively, from the SET MENU PLU.
OR using the OPTION 1 and 2 key, to enable courses 4 and 5 is the System Flag 16 bit g, which forces offer PLUs ( further courses) at pick up.
When a PLU has PF5 -H=YES set, the COND numbers link to LUPLUs.
COND 1 to the COURSE 1 LUPLU list
COND 2 to the COURSE 2 LUPLU list
COND 3 to the COURSE 3 LUPLU list
COND 4 to the COURSE 4 LUPLU list
COND 5 to the COURSE 5 LUPLU list
Up to 40 courses may be setup using the 40 LUPLUs available, with up to 40 dish options in each course.
The default setting will only ever allow the first 3 courses to be offered, so you need to change the settings as above.
SF-16 CONDIMENTS
G - PLUS OFFERED AT TRACK PICKUP
This flag relates to the Set Menu feature, 4th and 5th courses.
YES = Operator is prompted to offer the customer the remaining course.
If there are two courses available (4 and 5th), only the first is offered. In order for the remaining course (5th) to be presented, operator must either store the track or use SET MENU OPTION 2 key.
NO = Operator is NOT prompted to offer the customer the remaining courses at pickup. Operator must use SET MENU OPTION keys, in order to view and select from the 4th and 5th course options.
Alternatively you could use condiments, that way you canhave upto 5 menus appearing. Only issue is you can only have 8 PLUS in a condiment group.
Only other thing is use the mix and match tables and this would do exactly what you want it to. You would need to check the maximums in the till to see if you have mix and match memory.
