px 6750 dont communicate with plm 2000
I am having the exact same error, but on a UX-43F-05... I didn't notice this post earlier, or I wouldn't have posted my own...lol.
I made my own cable. It's not that hard really, as long as you know some basics of soldering.
However, I must warn you in advance that even having the correct cable will not solve the "ECR Time-Out Error". I'm still getting that...
Alright,
I searched the internet and I've found a Belgian company http://www.harting.be who made the cable for me. It cost about € 115, incl transportation.
Now I've connected my uniwell with my computer, and it seems to work.
So, thanks to you all for helping me.
Yet, I have another problem.
Could anyone tell me where I could find a compatible barcodescanner for the uniwell p 6750?
Hi,
Did you ever find yourself a compatable barcode scanner? Your best bet is to look on http://www.metrologic.com/corporate/products/handheld/
To be honest you will be able to get almost any barcode scanner working providing you can program the scanners settings and providing you have the correct convertor cable to turn the 9pin female connector on the scanner into a 9pin male to fit the till.
Cheers.
hello,
if you have the right cable and it stillis not working
first, in PLM 2000 click network botton, sroll down too comm port setting and click.
then goto bits per second, try each setting (example 9600) then press ok.
then goto communcations botton it is to the right of the 'network botton'.
click get 'ECR present data' pick your till/register from the list, if it fails to communcat, strat at firt sep but this time change the bits per second to something else.
after trying all bits per seconds and still not working then your till/register probable is in scanner mode. you must change from scanner mode to pc comm mode
hope this helps
