Hello,

I bought the cash register Uniwell px 6750 version 03 and I would like to program my register with plm 2000. :D

I tried to communicate with my register (key in Z1/P position), but I always get a ECR time-out error, so I think the communication fails.

The program was downloaded from http://www.ntsecr.co.za/downloads.html

I'm not sure I have the correct cable, because I used a cable that was I already had. :?:

Could that be the problem? And if it is so, where could I get the right cable?

Thanks in advance for the solution :)

Hi,

This is the cable you should be using:

Is this anything like what you are currently using?

There may also be a couple of settings you will need to change to get the communications up and running but obviously the cable is the most important part.

I don't know If I have the right cable, and I surched for such a cable on the internet, but I can't find the right cable. The only thing I've found is a "male to usb" cable. But I don't think that should work eather.

Do you have any idea where I could get such a cable.

Another thing, I put the register in Z1/P position. Is that OK or not, because I'm not sure that's the right position. Or do I have to do anything else on the register?

I already checked the com settings, and they seem to be alright according the help manual.

Hi,

I also had this problem :( , so I made up the lead myself :D .

You can purchase the connections from Maplin or RS :D .

Hi,

Mick is right, you won't find a cable anywhere as it's specific to uniwell machines. The only option you have is to pay someone to make one or solder one up yourself.
