If you edit till 8 in the software are the settings the same as that for till 1, with the 38400 ect? If so then yes.
Was the master till always numbered as till 8 then, because there should be somewhere in the software to tell it which till is the master, has you seen this setting?

till eight is set as master in the software the only thing i have not done is set everything to no on the flags will try about 3 and let you know

if its baud rate then i have alreadyy tried that

well the good news is i can contact till 8 from the back office, when i did a network test it failed on till 7,8,9,10,11

so i reset the irc and tried to send data around it completes suc on 1-6 and fails on the rest,

also the data i sent around wasnt on the tills neither was the keyboard layout

im still stuck on co,c1 no matter what i do it just alternates between those and fo,f1

any ideas

If the IRC Initial from the master finds all 11 tills but the software only finds 1 - 6 then there must be some different settings in the software for tills 7 - 11. Things to look for are different locations, different ID numbers or different Serial ID's (This is normally A), so it's worth comparing a working till in the software settings to a non working tills and tell me any differences.

As for the keyboard layouts there are still a number of things to do before they will kick in:
Firstly can you tell me how many PLUs you are trying to send from the software?

The second thing is to change flag 20 in system functions flags bit H to YES to enable PLU menu.

The third thing is to mess around with the keyboard switching until you have it on (F 1) because this is the programmable keyboard.

i have now got all tills talking but when it hits till seven if freezes due to a printer error. i think ive resolved this

i have also somehow lost the till layout on the back office pc by uploading software from till 8 on accident, is there any way i can pull it back because it wiped out all the plu names aswell.

do you have pcanywhere?
