Hi,
What keyboard do you have Flat or Raised keys?, that will help me tell you which mode you need to be in.
You now need to go into the engineer program and into 113 - system function flags, then if you go to flag number 31 and change every one of them to NO (You should find that A or B are set to YES as standard)
You will need to eventually initialise the network when you want to bring the other cash registers on line, we'll come to that shortly.

the keys are flat.
i cannot get back into the engineer mode as i cant find the correct buttons
in a previous post about these tills you put a link to the key board
well my buttons are set to bottom right hand corner

You must be in the wrong keyboard setting then, you need to follow that procedure of holding the keys down again until you see ( F 0 ). If you try several times but the nearest you can find is ( F 1 ) then leave it in that mode and try the same procedure again but hold down the key you marked as Cl and the ones I marked as scroll down & Enter (So the 5th row up basically).
once you have it in (F 0) things should be much easier

The default keyboard should now be the one you have the picture of so you should be able to get back into the engineer programming and perform this:
Go into the engineer program and into 113 - system function flags, then if you go to flag number 31 and change every one of them to NO (You should find that A or B are set to YES as standard)
You will hopefully be able to communicate now
