Hi,

I noticed when reading the programming manual for the NX5400-01 that it mentions a "peripherals and Interfaces" manual (or something like that). does such a manual exist?
Also, I notice the various wiring diagrams for the lead to connect to PC for different models... is the following correct for the NX5400-01?

ECR PC
male female
2---------------2
3---------------3
4---------------1
5---------------4
7---------------5
8---------------7
9---------------8

On another note, I have been having problems with the clerks - I have clerks 1-8 as hard logon buttons on the till, and despite checking all the sf settings, the cash drawer will only open for clerkID 1. Any ideas?

Oh, and also, even though the polarity of %1 is set to be negative, it refuses to be negative - I've got around it by using %2 instead which seems to be behaving, but I wondered if you had any ideas on that one too??

Many thanks,

Chris

Hi,

Firstly, the cable spec is correct for connecting to a PC.

Secondly, the clerks not opening the drawer is due to PGM210 Clerk Security Functions (Page 37).
The best thing to do is look to see what you currently have set for Clerk 1 and copy those settings across to each of the other clerks. Clerk Flag 2 bit b is the actual one you need to set.

As for the negative %, it's SF-40 that you need to change to set it as negative, have you checked this already? If not then bit h needs to be set to 1.

Hope this helps, if you get stuck on any of it or need any clarification or advice please don't hesitate to ask. ;)

Hi,

Thanks - I am pretty sure the Clerks are all set up the same, but I'll have to check the flags - can't do it till Friday, but will let you know.
"PGM210 Clerk Security Functions (Page 37)." - do you mean page 37 in the programming manual?

I'm also fairly sure sf-40 is setup correctly too, which is why I'm baffled, but again will have to check.

Thanks for all your help,
C
