I've recently taken delivery of 4 Uniwell LX-5600s and someone chose to have compulsory subtotal as well as compulsory tender switched on, if someone could help me switch off the first one I'd be very grateful.

Give this a try:
Turn the key to SP
Key in 100
Press X2 or ENTER
Key in 81
Press Decimal Point
Displayed on the screen you will see a list of options and a 0 or 1 to the right of each. Use your scroll down key to move the cursor down the screen and highlight the bottom one in the list (SBTL key depression compulsory) which should have a 1 against it. Simply press ENTER on it to change it to 0 then press X2 to save the settings. Press Cl twice to finish and turn the key back to R.
