Maybe I'm just being dense, but I am sure that it is not possible to set the Uniwell printers to use DHCP.

There is something here - if you set the 922 or 932 with a new IP Address, you have to wait until it prints out the stub before you power the printer off... it can take a couple of minutes after setting before the printer stores the new IP, powering it off/on before it has been stored means that the IP address isn't stored in flash and it will revert back to ID in IP base address next time power is lost to the printer.

Yeah It's probably set to DHCP instead of static, I:E the engineer doesn't know his onions. all IP printers should have static IP addresses or they can change if they are switched off and on again

Rob these printers dont have DHCP so the novice doesn't know his onions!!

These printers are terrible. We always have trouble with printers losing there I.P. If its not standard (192.168.1.100 for printer 1) then you need a laptop with a bit of Uniwell software to change it.

Rob,

You need to make sure the printer is set for original IP not IP ID (192.168.1.100 range)

Before you do anything setup the printer to "original IP" then once you've changed the IP add (assuming you've got the software) power the printer on/off. The printer should still hold your custom IP add and should not lose its settings.

Hope this helps.

You don't technically need the software. You can Telnet into them.

Flag 11 must be set to Original IP
Cmd
Telnet "IP address"
Password = UNINETTP
l_ip="New IP Adress)
gwip="New Gateway IP"
SAVE
EXIT
