Hi does any one know why my uniwell 922 and 932 printers would lose its ip address. Happens on a weekly basis, have to call engineer out to fix it. Engineer sets it up again. Been told it only happens in my chain of restaurants. Any insight would be nice. Also had cases where printer won't print with graphics logo, printer freezes up, but works ok if graphics logo flag removed on dx895 tills. :x

Once set these printers should not reset their ip address.
You should not have to get engineers in every week.

Message me if you need assistance.

the thing is the ip settings bit when you do a reset reverts to id in ip. Nothing else changes i.e. id, subnet, gateway etc. Only the ip address goes to e.g. from original ip setup 192.168.19.54, it goes to id in ip 192.168.19.100. Could there be something on the network that would force this change.

Yeah It's probably set to DHCP instead of static, I:E the engineer doesn't know his onions. all IP printers should have static IP addresses or they can change if they are switched off and on again
