I have a LX 5600 unit, which I have on the standard keyboard setup. I have programmed all the PLU's, but I cannot add any new function keys to the keyboard for some reason.

I go into the sp101 select the key required and then press the physical key, but the function is not assigning the key.

Any ideas, please?

Thanks

you are probably in [F0] the buttons on this level are fixed - you cannot move them about
you need to put the till into [F1]
if you know how to do an initial reset, its similar - but you hold town the top buttons on the first 3 columns on the right simultaneously power off then back on the screen will display either [F0] or [F1]
to toggle the other way - simply repeat the power on/off procedure.

Hi Andy the Diver

I have tried this already as per the manual, but the display is not showing the status of the fixed or programmable mode of the keyboard. I tried it before setting up the machine, will doing this now erase the Plu's that I have programmed in? Should have setup the function keys prior to setup.

Thanks

the plu's may be missing from the f1 keyboard but they will still be in the memory.
its only the buttons that will be affected.
