Welcome to EpoS Wizard!
ePOS office EJF report
Hello,
I'm setting up ePOS office to take reports at the end of our day. Things are going pretty well, except when it tries to get the Z-99 report for the EJF, the register freezes up, and needs a hard reset to keep going. Is the journal just too large? It can get up over 4000 lines in a day. Do I need to extend how long it waits before a time-out? Any thoughts would be a help.
And while I'm asking about ePOS office, when I click on Reports > Transactions I'm not given any options for the "Drill Down" reporting that the help file offers. Do I need to change a setting?
Thanks again!
Dylan
It could be the flag for the electronic journal is not set up.
If your using SX or TX or DX tills then Flag 57 bits A and H must be a YES or ticked.
What tills are you using?

I'm running a pair of DX-895's. The EJF is set up and working (SF-57 A,H=Yes), and from the registers I can print a Z-8899, it's just that one register (the one that has more activity through the day) will freeze when ePOS Office is trying to take the same report. If I force a reboot on the register while ePOS is still retrying to take the Z-99, it will run successfully. So something in the ePOS process is freezing the till as far as I can tell. EPOS Office is also set to take Z-01, -06, -39 and -41, so I guess one of those could be the problem.

When ever we get the journal freezing when collecting we usualy clear it down at the till. The supprising thing here is that you re-set and it collects ok. I would clear down the Z-99 at the till and see if it happens the next day. The other reports will not stop the 99 collecting.

Another thing, are you able to view the journal OK inside the software? We sometimes find that the journal file is corrupt and need either deleting or the corruption removing.
