Being on the receiving end of abusive calls from customers who don't pay for any support because 'they don't need it', but scream and shout and swear if the slightest thing goes wrong, and seeing hours and hours of programming being brushed off as something to be done for nothing, I'm all for this sort of licensing.
If no one paid, would I even be there to ask for help.
Best analogy I've heard for Epos support is Microsoft. If your laptop failed would you expect Microsoft to replace Windows for free?

Can you tell I've had a hard week............ :)

porty no offence intended but wouldnt you be a little pissed if you paid £200+ for a licence for it to invalidate just cause you stuck a 16gig pendrive into the pc when epos was open after hours of programming

I am only going by what you emailed me a few years back.

Phone a dealer/any dealer and get a price.

You want a new licence its £65.00 with no update.

Problem is you will need an update to upgrade you to Windows 7.

If you want an update with your licence its £200.00 to £250.00 depending on a few things.

For those prices the dealer is not making much at all. They have to pay USD for the renewal of the licence and the support fee. They also have to pay an additional fee as you are out of contract.

You will then want the licence fee and the updated software. They would need to either send it to you or let you download it.

All time and money.
