Bought a used DX-915 -- Need some guidance, please

Hello Everyone:
I purchased a dx-915 from a bankruptcy auction and have no clue where to start. I plugged the unit in and it powers up - but the screen in blank. I have put the service (s) key in SP mode and cycled the power -- but still nothing on the screen. Could someone help me figure out how to reset this unit?
Thanks!
The obvious sign of it powering up is the strip ED on the front turning on. If that works then turn it off, turn the 'S' key to the 'I/R' position (one click AFTER the 'Z1/P', and turn the power back on while holding your finger in the top-left of the touch-screen. It should beep four times and bring the display up.
If the display doesn't come on then it sounds like a hardware fault. It may simply be the LCD cable has come lose, but is more likely to be the LCD Inverter board blown - these are extremely temperamental on the DX-915 and very susceptible to bad mains power.

Simon is right it is more likely to be an inverter board that has blown. If it was the screen cable then you would probably get a white screen rather than blank.
The inverter board issue is very common on DX915's. New boards don't have the problem.
