Damn, I was too slow. I've had this too. Could have saved you the grief if I saw it earlier. The damn things seem to not know they have an LCD BUILT IN if you reset them. The one I had just did it without a bad battery so was even weirder.

What was the battery issue registerman? the company's got another one that just doesn't boot so I might need more info to look at it. I like to have as much info onboard as possible 
apparently the MB's on these are prone to switching off?

Main board was ok but BIOS just suddenly lost settings. As far as I know it's still running today
