I just purchased a Sharp XE-A307 and am trying to import a list of EAN codes as well as the receipt text/logo etc. However, the software is pretty poor and the documentation isn't any help.

The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to export from the software to the SD card because the software doesn't recognise the SD card as a "drive". The window I get up when I try to export looks exactly like the one on page 7 of the manual - ie, empty.

I can't export because it says I haven't selected a folder, and I can't create a folder because it says I haven't selected a drive. But I can't select a drive because the drive list is blank... My PC doesn't have an SD card slot, so I'm using a USB/SD drive - maybe that's not being recognised by the software. Or maybe the software is just crap. or both.

However, I can save the files to the hard disk and copy them manually. But when I try to import into the till it gives an error saying "no folder". So I use the tills menu to format the SD card and create a folder called "myfolder" and selected that folder. I put the SD card back in the PC and the till has created a directory structure underneath "myfolder".

I tried copying the data files to the directory, but am not sure which sub directory they're supposed to go in. But whichever directory I tried (I tried all of them) the till just gives the error "no file".

So I'm guessing that the files have to have a specific name and be in a specific folder for it to actually work - so can someone tell me the directory and file names?

Thanks.

ps. sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find a search function...?
