UP-700 fault

I have a Sharp UP-700 which has been in storage for two years. All was well when it was put away but now when it is switched on there is a constant beep and the screen message reads Start code 00 Change inhibit key No 002
I have tried all the keys in different positions but the keyboard has frozen. Only the 'receipt' and 'journal' keys operate.
I cannot find any info in the manual regarding this fault :(
Any help to solve the problem would be very much appreciated :)

It needs a master reset. Battery will have gone flat, although it is rechargable. It will probably need changed though.
You need a service key to do a master reset. Google Sharp service key and you can make you own from a reg key. Once you've done that, I can tell you how to reset it

The battery is inside it.
Once you've cut the key, turn the lock to the 6 o'clock position (2 positions past pgm2). Press the journal feed button and hold it and turn the key back to reg and let go of the button. It will beep 3 times and that's it.
It just needs reprogrammed after that.x

I made the key and did as you suggested.
There were no beeps but the constant beep has stopped. The screen now reads 'Head up' !unsure
