I am presently trying to program a Sharp UP-700 cash register.
I have managed to setup all the plus and plu menu keys through settings in PGM 2. However I cannot get the plu menu keys to work, I do have a service key, can anyone help?
In fact I have made the matter worse and stopped some of my normal plu buttons working on the till, when I press the button nothing appears even though it is setup in PGM 2 mode.
I am new to this so simple instructions would be appreciated for both issues if anyone can help.

Hi Andie,
You need to goto
Service Mode > setting > free key layout
Becareful what buttons you press now....
Scroll down until you see plu menus, so highlight plu menu 1 then press the key to assign it to. It will jump to the next plu menu. Press the next one if needed. Finish by pressing TL then cancel out.
If you have disabled some by accident then use same procedure as above but scroll up until you see INHIBIT KEY. press each key that doesn't work.
Then goto
PGM 2 > Setting > Direct Key
Press one of them then it will say dept. Press decimal point to change to PLU then press enter. Change the plu number to the number it should be then press enter again.
Repeat for all ones that don't work
