Sharp RS232 scanner, need help

Hi All,

I use a RaspberryPI (and some self written software) to talk to a Sharp XE-A307 via RS232. My problem is that while I can send PLU numbers to the cash register which are correctly recognized, I fail to do so with EAN numbers - I only get an "Unknown Code" error message if I try to send a string with an EAN number.

Could someone with a Sharp RS232 based barcode scanner hook it up to a computer with a RS232 port and tell me what string the scanner is transmitting when scanning any EAN barcode? This would help me a lot!
