I found the pinout of the transfer cable. This cable is for sending all RAM data between two registers only. it connects to the round socket on the machines.

Thank you for that information, do you know the codes required to do the ram transfer as I dont think I have them in the manuals I have for the register.

You need to set baud rate the same.

903 . X 0000 TL on both machines.

Then 996 . X TL on the send machine
998 . X TL on the receive machine

See how you get on. I haven't transfered on these before. On the 570, you see both machines start counting on the display while transferring. It normally takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

Here is the default key layout. You have a fair bit of work to do to get it back to your layout. The cashier keys are ABCD etc at the top. Do you have the keyboard codes in your manual?

Hi,
I have the ER-3110, I noticed the layout you posted for somebody and wondered if you can tell me what the keys on the left, numbered 1 to 20 were intended for & how do they differ from the 1 to 71 on the right??
Thanks
Dave

From default the 1 to 20 are the 20 Open department keys that this machines
allocates itself when a MRS(master reset) is carried out

The 1 to 71 (i thought it was 80) are the standard positions of the first 80 Plu`s

qu PU u is not a documented error , which i am sure you figured out
Normally spurious characters like this would indicate the machine has lost its program due to a low battery
