Most probably yes.

How long as it been switched off for?
To re-setup the till you will now need a service key and maybe a new battery. You can file down a MA key to make a service key. Not sure what battery you need or a price as that till is old and has now been replaced by other models but I could probably find out.

How much did you pay for the till and how long have you had it?

i paid £20 for it and ive had it about 6 hrs lol

I am a licensed stocktaker and thought it might be a good idea to have a couple of tills available as temp replacements
for my clients. i also bought a uniwell nx5400 for £20 as well.

A lot of my clients have uniwell sx 7000,s and programming new prices into them takes forever. Thought i would be clever and get a couple that i could swap out for the day and then update the uniwells.(didnt explain that very well, hope you understood)

The till is now switched on and swaps between modes using the key but i still cant find a clk button to sign on with.

Key board has now stopped working again.

Think i might have to take it to a dealer and get them to look at it.

And there i was thinking i was making my life easier LOL

Many thanks for your help

Where about are you from?

If you do look for replacement tills again keep a look out for Sharp UP-700. They replaced the A570 and are a lot easier to program

Im from yorkshire.

I come across the up 700 on a regular basis an yes you are right they are very easy to program but like i said earlier i was just after something cheap and cheerful that i could use to try and make my job easier.

I was recently offered 5x a-420's for £175 each but thats a bit heavy for me.

I'll let you know how i get on

Cheers
