Need to setup a new method of payment

Hello, I've been through the book several times now and can't seem to find anything in it about setting up a new method of payment. We have recently began a giftcard program in our store, and I would like to add in a new payment tender on the till so I don't have to to separate the giftcard sales from cash sales at the end of the night.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

You just need to allocate a payment button in free key layout in service mode.
Problem is you need a service key to do it! I've posted on here before how to make one, and if you can, I can talk you through putting the button on.

Thanks for the prompt reply...

I've tried searching for your post about making a service key, but didn't find it. if you could provide a link to the post that would be appreciated.
A walk through of how to add the button would also be welcomed.

Thanks again!

You'll need to google 'sharp service key' to get an image of one. Then you can file down one of your existing keys to match it, or, it costs at least a tenner from Sharp!
The next thing to know is, which model of till do you have?
Sorry, should have put that in my last post. If it's one of the XE-A series, then there isn't anything you can do for them.

We have a Sharp ER-A420 (I'm in Canada, don't know if that's going to make a difference for you)
